Curriculum

Kindergarten

The kindergarten program features a complete scope and sequence of concepts and skills needed to prepare children to be ready to read. Three-, four-, and five-year old children who are entering kindergarten, and any children who are diagnosed "NOT ready to read" (after having taken the A B C's with Ace and Christi Reading Readiness Test), should be enrolled in the Kindergarten program for a full year.

Sixty PACEs filled with animal pictures, activities, and full-color picture stories encourage children to want to read. They will also learn social skills, the wonders of God's world, and the reality of God's love.

(PACE - each booklet or unit of Accelerated Christian Education curriculum is referred to as a PACE.)

Grade 1 to 12

Accelerated Christian Education has been publishing its individual curriculum for grades K- 12 since 1970. Students are tested diagnostically upon entering schools or home schools and are then placed in the curriculum in each subject at their own performance levels determined by the results of the diagnostic tests.

The unique format of the curriculum allows students to advance from unit to unit as they demonstrate mastery. Students move independently through the curriculum under the supervision of certified teachers who provide tutoring at the optimum moment of learning.

Core Curriculum Provides Students' Basic Education Needs.

The core curriculum includes the six basic academic disciplines that provide student's essential educational needs: math, English, Literature and Creative Writing, social studies, science and Word Building (spelling). Each core curriculum subject contains 156 PACEs beginning with preschool and ending with level 12. Exceptions are math (which contains 144 PACEs), Word Building (which concludes with level 9), and Literature and Creative Writing (which begins with level two and will conclude with level 8.) The core curriculum provides students with academics, skill building, reading practice, character and wisdom training, and knowledge of God and His Word.
